Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home with a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and 2025 nsfas application not to wait until the last day.
